Mallorca
The island of Mallorca has such a wide variety of scenery, with
the rocky mountains and steep cliffs of the north west coast, gentler
rolling central plains, and beautiful beaches that stretch for miles.
All are quite spectacular in their own right, and the South East
corner has these, but also its own special qualities and interests.
Included among the many coastal towns are Santanyi, Cala Santanyi,
Cala D'or, Porto Colom, and Porto Petro, with Manacor and Felanitx
only a short way inland. |

Mainland Spain.
The climate of the Costa del Sol has made it the most all year
round tourist destination in Europe, and an increasingly attractive
place for people to re-settle. 320 days of sunshine each year appeal
to people of all ages and interests.
The Sierra Morena hills run right accross northern Andalucia. with
oak and pine clad hills. The whole area is more typical of Extramadura
or old Castille than the rest of Andalucia to which it belongs.
The Sierras are snowcapped for much of the year and offer skiing
from November until late May. During the rest of the year the Sierra
Nevada nature park offers the walker endless opportunities. |

Bulgaria.
Bulgaria, located on the Balkan Peninsula in southeast Europe,
is the most stable country in the region. The climate on the coast
is warm and dry in the summer, making Bulgarian Black Sea coasts
a most favourite holiday destination for many Europeans.
Bulgaria has one of the least expensive costs of living in whole
Europe and one can enjoy the advantage of great geographical diversity
there – plenty of splendid "blue flag" sand beaches
on the coast and ideal conditions for skiing in the mountains in
the winter.

France.
Much of France is a year-round destination and the climate varies
across the country. August is the main holiday month; as with Spain
and Italy, so expect the beaches and popular resorts to be fairly
busy. The beach resorts are at their best from late spring to early
autumn. The ski season runs roughly from December to April, with
good deals in January and March.
It is such an easy country to visit being only a short journey
by ferry, Euro tunnel or air. There are no health risks and the
currency is the euro.
Food lover’s head for Lyon, skiers to Alpine resorts like
Chamonix and wine buffs are torn between the chateau-strewn Loire
valley, Champagne and Burgundy. The southwest is visited less often
but has gems like the fortified town of Carcassone.
